Welcome
It all begins with an idea.
If you’ve found your way to this space, chances are you—or someone you care about—has been navigating the weight of anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or compulsive fears for far too long. I’m Cheri, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and I specialize in helping individuals break free from the cycles of OCD, anxiety disorders, and chronic worry so they can reclaim the calm, connected, and meaningful life they deserve.
I created this blog as a place to share guidance, education, and encouragement.
Why I Do This Work
Throughout my years supporting clients and my training in evidence-based treatments like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), one thing has become clear:
Anxiety is treatable. OCD is treatable. Lives change every single day.
What’s often missing is the right support and a therapist who truly understands how these conditions operate beneath the surface. So many people with OCD and anxiety feel misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or stuck in cycles of reassurance and avoidance.
My mission is to provide effective, research-backed therapy delivered with compassion, clarity, and steadiness.
What You Can Expect Here
On this blog, you’ll find:
Practical strategies for managing anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and compulsions
Education about how OCD actually works (and why it’s so often misinterpreted)
Guidance for families and partners supporting loved ones
Mindfulness and acceptance-based insight to help you reconnect to your values
Realistic, down-to-earth encouragement rooted in clinical experience
Whether you’re considering therapy, already working with me, or simply exploring how OCD and anxiety operate, this space is meant to help you feel informed, grounded, and less alone.
Let’s Move Toward Relief…
